28/09/07

We have decided to do our shooting this Sunday (30/09/07). We have now sorted out the band members, instruments and equiptment. The location we are shooting in is a medium size white room as the warehouse we wanted to use will be full of machinery that day. The people in the band include, a drummer, lead vocals, bass guitar and guitar. This is the same as the real band to make it as realistic as possible. The band will be wearing similar clothing to that of the real band members (indie style clothing - no black as it wont look good in the footage).

Tom Adams's review on S2-47's music video

I consume you is a rave tune. Group S2-47 have met all the appropriate critera for this genre. Examples of this are flurencent colours used in most shots and being sprayed over the lead singer. Costumes are also in bright multi colours. Dance routines also look rave, people dancing as if on ecstasy.

The lipscyning is well timed and looks fairly real. The group also used backgrounds to full effect often containing nightclub lazerlights. Glowstick are predomiant as a rave accessory and using twenty people up in the video this has a good effect. Strobe lighting is used during the dance routines to give a jerky effect that looks reasonably stylish. On the editing point of view there are many quick cuts between scenes. All together a great video and i would easily have given it 60/60.

Tom's view on Q1-07 pitch

Lots of good ideas and a clear understanding of the genre. However you need to be more firm about the whole treatment. You have not specified anything clearly. i would work on a shot list and a new pitch that firms up your idea and puts accross a clear idea of structure to go with the look that you have decided on. YOu also need to explain how you are going to achieve this look.

You have put enough of your idea across to be awarded the contract to make the video for 'send in the boys' by Milburn
